Hi, we are interested in modeling shape over time. Has this functionality been integrated in the current version of ShapeWorks? I have seen two relevant papers (Particle Based Shape Regression of Open Surfaces with Applications to Developmental Neuroimaging - PMC; Frontiers | Learning spatiotemporal statistical shape models for non-linear dynamic anatomies). But I haven’t been able to find a corresponding use case. If integrated already, could you point me to available guidelines or documents please?
At the moment, I believe you can only model this by using multiple domains. There’s not other explicit support for longitudinal shape models.
Got it. Thank you, Alan.
Alternatively, is such temporal analysis available with source code? I see two temporal branches in the ShapeWorks GithHub repository. If yes, does it include the “Disentangled“, “Linear regression“, and “Regularized principal component polynomial regression“ in the 2023 paper?
hi,
also interested in shape across time, but in the setting of multiple domains. Am I able to run all participants at all time points within the same project, then distinguish with group markers. Or should I create seperate projects for each time point, and then analyze mean shapes outside of sw?
thanks

I’m sorry, I don’t know what are in those branches. One appears to be by Jadie and the other by Nawazish.
It could be done either way. It probably depends upon your particular data. But each timepoint could be run as a separate project and then merged as a multiple domains project, or you could optimize them together.
