Question about using ShapeWorks for transfemoral prosthetic socket shapes

Dear ShapeWorks team,

Your application looks fantastic. I was wondering whether ShapeWorks can also be applied to shapes derived from transfemoral prosthetic sockets (specifically the upper portion). I ask because these shapes differ from anatomical models; they are open structures rather than fully closed or “round” meshes.

I previously tried using MeshMonk, but it failed to process these meshes, which is why I’m curious whether ShapeWorks would handle them better.

Finally, is it possible to export correspondence-landmarked meshes from ShapeWorks?

Yes, ShapeWorks seems to be able to model these shapes. I’ve created a shape model using ShapeWorks Studio and placed it here:

Regarding your question about exporting correspondence-landmarked meshes, can you clarify a bit more about what you mean?

In ShapeWorks Studio, we can export the correspondence points as well as the reconstructed meshes for each shape, which would be dense vertices/meshes for each shape in correspondence.

Thank you very much for your efforts and for providing the information and files.
Today, I have been trying to follow the same steps myself, but I am currently stuck: I am unable to click the “Run Optimize” button, both in the files you provided and in the example files from ShapeWorks. I have tried a lot to find the issue but so far I failed…
I have also attached a log file that may help identify the problem.
I hope you might be able to assist me.
